Museums in La Spezia and its Province |
Museo Amedeo Lia - Town museum of Ancient, Medieval, Modern Arts in the XVI century building of Paolotti monks. It has a unique collection of 1,150 pieces, divided into 13 rooms. It includes paintings from the XII and XVIII century, Italian and foreign miniatures from XIV to XVI century, religious and profane objects, sculptures.
Museo del SIgillo - The seal's musem offers the largest private seal collection, containing seals from the IV millennium b.C. to modern times.

Museo del Castello San Giorgio - It is located inside the San Giorgio Castle (sec XIV-XVII) and hosts the Town archaeological Musem "Ubaldo Formentini", containing historical finds of the La Spezia area, dating back prehistory to the Middle Age. The Lunigiana prehistorical statues are worth to be mentioned.

Museo Nazionale dei Trasporti - The National Transport Museum(MNT), was founded in 1986. It is divided into 3 different sections: Trolley buses, Trains and cars.
Museo Etnografico - Witnesses the old traditions of the Lunigiana area, exposing personal objects, tools, jewels, costumes, manufactures and textiles, spinning and milling tools dating back to the XVIII-XX centuries.
Museo del castello di Lerici - The XII century castle hosts the Geo-paleontology Museum, create after the finding of dinosaur and tecodont footprints, dating back to more than 200 millions of years ago.
